Who would ever thought that a parish formation program can be derived from a short passage from Micah?  Here is a reflection on Mic. 6:8 shared to me by email by Mr. Eli Lademora, one of the trainers of Scripture Ventures:

Mic 6:8  “He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.”

It would seem that the above texts suggests the following possibilities for formation areas:

"Walk humbly with your God...":  Prayer and Discernment, Scripture Study,  Discipleship and Growing in the Fruit of the Spirit,

"Love Kindness...":  Building Christian Communities, Discovering and Exercising the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, Resolving Conflicts and Building Personal Relationships, Evangelization and Equipping the people for ministry.

"Do Justice..":  Social Responsibility and the upholding of human dignity.

Note that under "Love Kindness" Mang Eli puts the building up of Christian communities, and the empowerment of persons for the ministry and not as some people may expect under "Do Justice."  In Micah 6:8 "Kindness" translates that Hebrew word which means a lot of things:  hesed.  The word can also mean "grace" and  "faithfulness".  I agree with Man Eli that "Love HeSeD" regards -- in this Christian reading of Micah's text -- the primary grace of being "children of God" and with it, all that relates to "being Church."
